Description: In State v. O.D.A.-C., the New Jersey Supreme Court ruled “the State cannot shoulder its heavy burden of proving defendant’s waiver was voluntary” if police or a prosecutor “repeatedly contradicted and minimized the significance of the Miranda warnings”. This results in major changes to Miranda law in NJ, and our Garden State CLE Senior Instructors are here to break down what it all means in this minimum-1.5 credit live course.
