1.5 CLE Credits (Ethics)
Program Description:
Throughout the early years of American cinema the “Motion Picture Production Code” was enforced by Hays Commission. For more than 25 years the commission ensured that good would triumph over evil, but in the late 1950s the guidelines set-forth by the commission began to weaken. The influence of foreign directors, television and social changes would begin to create the wave movement in world cinema. Anatomy of a Murder was the first major American film to challenge the idea of good and evil, guilty and innocent, and ethical and devious. This 1.5 (Ethics) credit CLE will explore the many different ethical challenges our main characters face in this classic bellwether picture.
